STEVE CLARK Composer
After graduating from Christ Church College Canterbury with 1st class Honors in Music/ Educational Psychology, Steve entered the world of Musical Theatre with his first engagement as M.D on Willy Russell’s ‘Blood Brothers’. Many successful years followed in the West End and on Touring Productions, credits include ‘Blood Brothers’, ‘Fame’ ‘Phantom of the Opera’ ‘Hold On’ ‘Dusty’ ‘The Commitments’ ‘The Blues Brothers’ ‘Grease’ and ‘Carousel’. In 2002, Steve was musical director for Ruby Turner on her ‘Hold On’ UK Tour.
Steve has always maintained a huge variety of engagements, including Musical Director at Laines Theatre Arts 2003 – 2006, Musical Director on several National Youth Theatre productions from 1998 – 2000, developing his own successful recording and production studio, and he has completed successful writing deals with clients including Warner Chappell Music and Yamaha Kemble. He has made stage appearances with artists including Elton John, George Michael, Sting and Lionel Ritchie. In addition, Steve worked extensively on the Cabaret/Show circuit, having conducted and arranged for artists including Shirley Bassey and Tom Jones.
